The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), an organization focused on youth entrepreneurs, has launched a challenge to Canadians to create something new from a coffee cup. YOU Innovate Canada is a national tournament hosted by CYBF in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Top innovators will receive a share of $25,000 in cash prizes provided by Studentawards.com, as well as a trip to Liverpool, England to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Congress.
Entrants over the age of 16 have until October 18 to submit videos of their coffee cup creations. Teams of four can work together for the project. Starting October 20, the general public can vote on the best inventions. Fourteen regional champions in two categories (seven champions in the post-secondary category and seven in the community category) and one national champion will be chosen from across Canada through both online public voting and the panel of judges.
Here’s a video of an entry from last year.
So get your thinking caps on and start innovating!
