CANADIAN YOUTH BUSINESS FOUNDATION’S MESSAGE TO CANADIANS:SHOW US YOUR ENTREPRENEUR

In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Canada, the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is inviting all Canadians to share their entrepreneurial story in a new campaign titled, “Show Us Your Entrepreneur.”

Beginning today, Canadians from coast to coast to coast are encouraged to show how entrepreneurship has touched their lives or impacted their communities.

Using the website www.ShowUsYourEntrepreneur.com, participants are asked to fill out a virtual postcard or upload a photo that captures the spirit of entrepreneurship in Canada – the young kid on the curb selling lemonade or the story of the neighborhood barber who is the pillar of their community.

Alternatively, interested participants can mail a postcard to the CYBF National Office (100 Adelaide Street West, Suite 1410, Toronto ON, M5H 1S3) to be uploaded to the website.

All completed photos and submissions will be posted online for public viewing at www.ShowUsYourEntrepreneur.com.
“This initiative aligns with CYBF?s goal of building awareness and strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship in Canada,” explains Vivian Prokop, chief executive officer of CYBF. “By raising awareness, Canadians will take a look around and realize the significant impact that entrepreneurs make in their communities.”

Show Us Your Entrepreneur is one of hundreds of initiatives taking place during GEW Canada, a global movement to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity through entrepreneurship.
The campaign will run from October 19 to November 30, 2010 and was created in collaboration with College Pro and ACE Canada. For additional information, visit www.ShowUsYourEntrepreneur.com.
